Bulbs oblique-oblong, ± irregularly shaped, suggesting small tuber, 0.9-1.4 cm; outer coats pale brown, breaking with irregular edges, cells of reticulum wavy. Flowers 9-14 mm; tepals narrowly lanceolate, apex acute. 2n = 14. Flowering late May--early Jul. Clay soils, including serpentine; 50--1000 m; Calif., Oreg.
