Heads in flat-topped, corymbiform arrays. Peduncles hirsute, eglandular. Involucres (6-)7-10 mm. Phyllaries 15-40+ in 3-5+ series, broadly elliptic, glabrous and eglandular (margins hyaline-scarious, erose or ciliate), apices rounded. Receptacles paleate (at least peripherally). Corollas eglandular, lobes ca. 1 mm. Cypselae eglandular; pappus bristles in ± 1 series. 2n = 20. Flowering (Jul-)Aug-Nov.
