Mid and distal leaf blades ovate, oblong, or obovate (lengths 1.5-4 times widths). Peduncles equaling or longer than involucres. Involucres broadly turbinate to campanulate, 6-10 mm. Phyllaries in 3-6 series, reflexed, apices often canescent, stipitate-glandular. Ray florets pistillate, fertile. Cypselae sparsely to moderately appressed-hairy. 2n = 8. Flowering Jun-Sep.
