Horizontal stems flat on ground, 15--45 X 0.4--0.6 cm; stems (excluding leaves) thick, 1.5--2 mm wide; leaves monomorphic, appressed, 5--7 X 0.8--1 mm, marginal teeth 0--7 per side. Peduncles 1--7 per plant, 13--40 X 0.3--0.4 cm; strobilus 1/3--1/6 total length; leaves appressed, 3--5.3 X 0.3--0.5 mm, marginal teeth 0--3 per side. Strobili 25--60 X 3--4 mm. Sporophylls appressed, incurved, 3.5--5 X 0.3 mm, marginal teeth absent. 2 n = 156.
