Stenotaphrum secundatum & Duchesnea indica abundant just outside of the shade zone. ; Of the few leaves noted, all were deformed in some manner. The stem, especially, near the base was covered with a striking white pubescence which resolved, on closer inspection, into a mass of stellate trichomes. ; GPS: 32°53.02N, 96°49.34W; Part 3 of 4 (from rhizome to damaged apex)
