International Taphonomy Reference Collection (USNM-PAL)

Fossil and modern bones bones and bone assemblages representing a variety of taphonomic processes used as comparative materials to help paleobiologists, anthropologists, archaeologists, ecologists, and forensic scientists interpret taphonomic evidence. Collection materials are from Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Canada, and The United States and primarily consist of vertebrate specimens.
